Harried Teal

I walked right round Blue House Farm Nature Reserve at North Fambridge by the River Crouch today. I love it there under the big Essex sky. Very few people about, I like that too.

A huge flock of teal was dabbling in the fleet, I love listening to the vocalisations. Suddenly the birds took to the air as one, a marsh harrier in their midst. Difficult to track it in the flurry. It's out of focus in the centre of my pic in extras.

Today's poem is From In Memoriam AHH CXXIII by Alfred, Lord Tennyson. https://hellopoetry.com/poem/10582/in-memoriam-a-h-h-obiit-mdcccxxxiii-part-123/

Poetry for paleontologists someone has observed. :)
