Edinburgh from a Distance

Having welcomed guests into the cottage in glorious warm sunshine this afternoon, I had hoped to go round the road in Holyrood Park which leads to the viewpoint where you can see Edinburgh Castle and the spine of the Old Town which the Royal Mile follows. However the road was closed for maintenance, so I took our son on a wee drive to Braid Hills Road where I stopped briefly to take this photograph.

Would have been a good day to have been armed with a more powerful camera, but it was an unplanned journey, so iPhone pic it has to be. Doesn't it look glorious - you can even see Berwick Law to the right of the shot.
