Kings Heath

We went to Kings Heath, our old stamping ground, place of the first house we owned together and at one time Britannic Assurance where I used to contract from 1985, they moved the headquarters to Wythall shortly after I finished my last contract there in 1991.

The reason for the visit was to see Colin who was staying for a few days with his step-daughter and granddaughter.  We went to a cafe off the high street reputed to sell the best coffee in Birmingham according to TripAdvisor, Ann said it was OK, but not the best!

After a drink we went to Kings Heath Park to try their cafe out for lunch.  They will be holding a Magical Lantern Festival for Christmas and the park was full of weird and wonderful plants and animals to be lit up at night.

We were joined by Deena and Charlotte at the park cafe then went for a walk round.  This is Charlotte seeing how fast she can go on her scooter.

The other day when I blipped Charlecote Park I mentioned the deer.  Well some of them appear to have escaped to Kings Heath (see extra).
