Life in Sunny Dubai

Wild Wednesday: Last Exit

Woke this morning to lots of whats app messages! The web developer, my sisters... it was crazy! One of my nephews is celebrating his 21st today, so there was some chatter about that. G had an appointment with her oncologist today, so we were out by 10, and arrived just in time! The drive there always seems endless.

It's all good on G's health front. Her doctor said, "Do you realise it will be six years in January?" Time definitely flies! One of the nurses there said she'd been to the newly opened Louvre Museum and it wasn't too far and worth checking out, so we decided to do just that. Yvonne also said there are food trucks plenty of food options.

Got there to find it was 50km away, the food trucks weren't "open" yet, neither was the restaurant, you could get something to eat in the cafe and the free tours ended yesterday. As it was nearly 2:30pm by this time and we were more than a little hungry, we decided it might be better to visit when we were in the right frame of mind, so headed back to Sunny Dubai and called in at the Last Exit (my blip + extra) for lunch.

Good decision! Big Smoke Burger was the truck of choice today and later, we stopped off at Filli's in Umm Suqeim for some saffron tea. The weather has finally taken a turn. Low humidity, and a very pleasant breeze. Mind, it was coming up to sunset when there is generally a big movement of air anyway. One more stop at Cafe Ceramique to collect last weeks' creations, and then finally home by 6:30. We took the Volvo to give it a run and it did really well.

And now, I have some things to prepare for the web developer. I've got to capitalise on the fact that he's come back to life! ;)
