Dearne Valley Park this morning

On my way to the Yorkshire Photographic event in Pontefract.  I wouldn't normally pass this way, but for some reason I hadn't got my brain switched on and started out on a journey to Wakefield.  Once I realised what I'd done I chose the shortest route from there via Barnsley, which meant I ended up driving alongside this park that skirts the early stages of the River Dearne.

The day was being led by Joanne Dean who is an excellent practitioner of the art of photography story telling and digital collage techniques.  I enjoyed it and think I might have learnt a couple of new things. (The proof will be in whether I can remember or not!)
