Running deer

Sugar beet lorries were all over our usual morning walk  so we went to the airfield near Monks Hall and were lucky enough to stumble upon this herd of deer, who weren't so happy to see us.

We watched in horror as the herd headed for, and then ran across the road where cars go too fast.  Luckily they all made it.

Off this evening to have dinner with Valerie and John a longstanding arrangement that we are really looking forward to.  We will also be introducing Jay to a potential new babysitter (Sam), who is following in his brother's footsteps.
