Not much demand for this birthday card

A different Saturday for a change. Instead of walking into town we walked locally around Mote Park as I was out for an early lunch.

What started out as a lovely sunny morning degenerated as the day went on ending with a dank drizzly afternoon and evening.

We tried a new place for coffee, a local place called The Cavendish. We’ve walked past it hundreds of times only calling in once during all these years. It was good too, their breakfasts looked good so I think we’ll be back there sooner and more regularly. It was while in The Cavendish that I saw today’s blip and an occasional entry into the realm of daily challenges.

The reason for a local walk was that the referee advisors had a coherence conference this afternoon. Probably the worst weather of the season so far. Fifteen of us met for an early lunch at a local restaurant which was a very pleasant affair with some nice wine and good talk.

Well fortified we moved off to a nearby ground to watch a referee. A bit daunting I’m sure but we didn’t all feedback to him, that was left to one advisor but we did listen in. All in all a very worthwhile afternoon, made even more satisfying as England beat Australia.
