Voskresenije worth the journey

Bit of coming and going today, as I went to Glasgow on the bus for a shopping spree and then made a second trip on the ferry to catch up with my old friend Jurij and his choir of Russian musicians, Voskresenije, in Kilmacolm.

The big hit this evening was Mr PB’s arrangement of Burns’ My Love is like a red red rose. Vitaliii Nagibin, the tenor/counter-tenor, sang it quite beautifully, with a terrific approximation to the Scots accent of Kenneth McKellar(we referred him to a link to copy).

And now I’m sitting waiting for the last ferry and already thinking about the choir’s next concert in Dunoon. But that’s for another year ...
