Desperately seeking

The day was wetter than I had imagined, even though I had been following the weather forecasts.

In the morning I was booked into a talk about managing stress and "well-being". I arrived very stressed but I eased that by grabbing a cat and restraining it on my knee until it purred!

Finding out how adrenaline which helped primitive man in fight or flight has it's effect on the completely different needs of modern lifestyles. Drinking more water always crops up when health issues such as feeling low or being depressed are raised.

The talk was hosted by a lovely local garden centre, I had been looking forward to my visit but it was so terribly wet I didn't bother getting the camera out, I had a brolly in the car but the paths were too flooded for my going-to-a-meeting-in shoes. Gosh! I was amazed when I saw the village road. The gutters had 18" rivers flowing down them! I had to dodge them on each side to get to the car.

When we went out for our fortnightly visit to the North Lakes Hotel we found that the Christmas decorations were up hence the emergency blip!
