What I Spy!

Up until today we have been extremely lucky as far as weather goes. Considering the very wet summer that Scotland experienced we only had one full day of all rain - today! Don't get me wrong, we did have some rainstorms along the way, but never all day.

So, needless to say, we didn't have a lot planned. We visited a few castles near Fort Glasgow in the morning, including Newark Castle. When I snapped this photo of R on one of the many, many spiral staircases that were in ALL the castles and cathedrals we toured. Some of them were rather interesting to maneuver, especially on crutches!

We also drove by the lovely Cloch Lighthouse. It is now private residences so no tour was offered.

Then it was off to meet our last blipper, Snappybiatch, and her wonderful family. Thanks, C, for the awesome visit with coffee and sandwiches! C is pictured here with her beautiful granddaughter, L.

Well, our holiday in winding down. Tomorrow is our last full day here before we leave for home in Saturday.
