Thwarted

I have had an image in my head for a while, and today everything should have been in place. Having scrapped the ice from the windscreen and gingerly driven to the location, I find "British Waterways " have devastated my image! They have cut reeds and had a huge digger in, I believe as part of "lock gate replacement" ! So my minds eye image of the sun rising through the frozen reeds was somewhat altered! 
The rest of the day was spent emulsioning  the big wall in the utility, so no alternative option came up...............!
