Checking out the roots!

With a bright and frosty start to the day it was time to go and look over Fridays venue for a machine launch I am covering. Then it was on to do a bit of digging, in a historical sense! The root of Blipper Kelso and owner of the 3 Amigos appear to grow from a village /estate of Birdsall, south of Malton and east of York. From a quick bit of research the surname is Anglo-Saxon, is first recorded 1545, the estate house was built in the late 16th century and added to and altered 1749,1776 1872 and many more no doubt. The house is not open to the public at this time of year so above is as near as I could get the boys. In extras I have included one image to try and give a feel of the landscape the mist as the frost lifted was quite dramatic. Next the kennels the estate is the home of the Middleton Hunt Hounds. And finally one of the estate houses and the village sign, I hope all of this of interest to all as well as Peggy  ;o)
Thanks again to all who are viewing starring and favouring the tour images.
