TINY TUESDAY

Hello, it's me again!

adiehk; jidhvuj ejfdahskfuj jekaj jkfd c jekajkhjtja Christmas?

Following on from yesterday, and as it’s Tiny Tuesday, I wondered if you had ever seen the brain of a Grater Pareidolia Wall Nut - and if you have, whether you have ever really looked at it?

Although my brain is very small, there is a lot in there, believe me - so many nooks and crannies and I have to say, so much useless information.

However, there is also a lot of useful information, such as the fact that it is only 20 days until we celebrate Christmas - the real meaning, of course, not all that commercialism and materialism.

I enjoy receiving gifts, but this new-fangled idea of someone giving you a list so that you pick something from there that THEY want, rather than it being a complete surprise - well I have to say, I’m not into all that.

In fact, if I’m honest, I could easily dispense with a lot of the trappings of Christmas and get back to the real meaning of it - the fact that Love came down at Christmas.  I know that some people don’t share my beliefs, but you only have to look around in the month after Christmas to realise that all the time spent choosing that expensive gift or even that box of hand cream or shower gel for a friend or colleague, was wasted because it’s ended up on the shelf of a charity shop.

Why don’t we just get back to spending time with our family and friends during the festive season - really talk to them - and listen to them too, to find out about their lives - that doesn’t cost a lot of money - and let the big businesses make a loss.

There is more to life than stuff - there is peace and love and joy but we need to make the effort to ensure that it is shared around.  Surely that makes more sense though!

Perhaps we all need to remember this:

Want to keep Christ in Christmas?
Feed the hungry,
     clothe the naked,
          forgive the guilty,
               welcome the unwanted,
care for the ill,
     love your enemies,
          and do unto others
as you would have done unto you.”
