Festive in Hexham

I took Mum to Hexham Abbey Christmas Fair today. Here you see our friends Steve and Lesley who were on different stalls. Lesley makes candles from old candles, mainly ones from the Abbey. She and her friend, Sheila, also made willow stars, origami decorations, Christmas tree toys and had a plant section. Steve was selling Christmas cards in aid of Rotary charities.

It was a splendid fair and packed with people. We made our way around without knocking anyone over,(Mum had her walker), and even managed to sit down for a cuppa and a mince pie each.

Outside, Beaumont Street was closed for the big Christmas market. It was very cold so we looked at a few stalls only before retreating to the warm car.

We bought quite a few things in the fair and enjoyed ourselves.

I've been playing with new brushes in Photoshop for today's blip.
