A cold day

This morning we had the most frost we have had this season - it was very cold, but lovely and bright. Today is also the anniversary of my mum's funeral a year ago :(

We seemed to have a slow start to the day and then had to rush to go out to get things done. We only got back home after lunch time and I quickly made some soup for us to eat as we were both quite hungry by then.

Last night the Christmas concert was rather good - the Big Band were terrific and played some excellent jazzy and soul numbers, it is always an evening of such good entertainment. 

When we were out and about on our errands this morning I saw this recently ploughed farmer's field and so I took a photo of it, directly in to the hazy sunshine.

A quiet night in tonight, just what we need.
