Shepherd's delight

After a much-needed lie-in, MrM taught a mandolin pupil while I did a few essential chores, and then we had a very-late-morning walk on the Common with Louie. A beautifully clear, blue-sky winter's day, and bitterly cold.

Back home for a bite to eat before setting out to Alnwick for a supermarket shop - via Alnmouth, for the obligatory walk on the beach with Louie. The sun was setting by then, with some amazingly fiery reflections in the sea. Temperature was dropping rapidly as we drove home, -2.5deg as we arrived in Wooler.

An evening of wrapping gifts, two episodes of Witnesses: A Frozen Death on TV and cider...
