Buster

MrM had arranged to meet Paul in Bellingham this morning, to discuss a guitar. We'd planned to go for a walk afterwards, but had no definite plans as to where. Then Fiona decided join us, with Buster, and she suggested a walk around Bull Crag at Kielder. A lovely walk and, for most of the time, the light was fabulous (extra).

Slight detour on the way home! We were surprised to see traffic coming in the opposite direction stopping, and then passing a very elderly man who was pulling along a large suitcase along the road in the middle of nowhere. It was pitch black, and he was wearing very dark clothing. Worried that he would be hit by a car, MrM turned the car round and we went back and offered him a lift home - which turned out to be 5 or 6 miles away in Harbottle. Seems he had travelled back from Rotterdam and got as far as Thropton on public transport, and decided to walk from there...

It had been a little too early when we finished our walk to stop for a meal at the Redesdale Arms. So we opted for a meal at Milan, where we sampled the Christmas menu. Delicious!
