Last day of hobbit feet

On Friday I had to have the nail on my left big toe removed.

Long story short is that on finishing the Kiltwalk for charity mid September I got home and over-enthusiastic pruning of the nail let to infection, anti-biotic treatment, reinforced on holiday as my foot became swollen, and backed up by another course on my return.

All seems fine but the nail had separated from the toe and had to go. Fortunately, a painless experience but the dressing has had to be kept dry for the past few days: a problem as I shower.

So this solution, with a freezer bag over it and an elastic band to cut off the circulation to the foot, seems to have worked.

I look forward to a dressing free shower in the morning,
