Monty's back!

Monty the Monitor Lizard made a grand entrance again this afternoon and he very obligingly allowed me to get quite close with the camera. They are quite beautiful creatures and the markings are amazing. We feel pretty sure that he had just made his way from the Billabong. It's been our hottest day since last summer today and he was probably pretty thirsty. I have added an extra of his rear leg. It looks like it could do quite a lot of damage if he decided to have a go at you. I was tempted to tag this post for "NOT SO Tiny Tuesday" :)
