Thursday

Nobody in their right mind would go out on a dark, nearly freezing evening to stand in some gardens to watch an immersive dance happening would they? Well we did! Shakespeare's New Place was holding a Mid Winter Magic dance-circus performance.  It was very good and luckily it involved the audience moving to different parts of the garden for different acts so we didn't freeze on the spot.

After, we went to the Garrick for a meal and pint of Abbot Ale (me).  I had quinoa burger and fries, Ann the salmon, though she helped me with my fries too.

The Christmas Market was being held in Bridge Street, this is the tree and lights along there.

This morning I made up for not getting out yesterday when we went to the National Trust property, Packwood House near Solihull.  We had a drink in the easy chairs in front of the large pellet burning stove then took a walk along Packwood Avenue, the tree lined footpath leading from the house to the far road (see extra).  It was still a little slippery under foot, especially in the car park, but with our walking boots on we coped with the mud and ice.
