sarah

Just spent a quiet day with Sarah before going down to visit my parents in Sussex. We woke up to blue skies and sat in her kitchen drinking coffee and talking for a bit. Then went out to the Indian wholesalers on Tooting Broadway where she buys all her spices and pulses. It was like a sweet shop for me! We bought some dates (hers medjool, mine Persian, and ate some on the way home. We also had a wander round Streatham Cemetery - we saw another fox there last night. There was a funeral going on in one corner of the cemetery and a brass band was playing "When the Saints Go Marching in." We talked about what we did and didn't want to happen to our bodies after we'd died. We seem to talk about death quite often, but not in a morbid way, just as a fact of life which needs to be thought about.

Sarah made us a lovely lunch (see extra). She walked me all the way to Tooting Broadway tube station and we said goodbye.

But I'll see her again on Sunday :-)
