Standard

During a quiet time at work today, Heather and I went with three of the young people down to the offices of Dumfries & Galloway Standard to deliver presents for their Christmas Toy Appeal. Sadly there are many children in our area who are living in poverty and would not be receiving a gift at Christmas without this kind of help.

One of the young people who came with us is very keen on photography - she took a photo of the others in front of the Christmas tree and is looking forward to seeing it in the newspaper next week.

We also told the Standard reporter about The Usual Place's plans for Toilet Twinning (more of this later).

The Dumfries & Galloway Standard was first published in 1853. It comes out twice a week, on a Wednesday and Friday.

After work, I met Sarah and D and we went to the station to see Sarah off to London. I'm not too sad as I'll be seeing her again in less than 48 hours (watch this space...)
