Focused

A boy and his iPod. Seldom separated at the end of the day. Last time I blipped him was 25 days ago on our first outing after returning home from the hospital.

In the meantime he's returned to school for a few days - some half days last week and some whole days this week. Hopefully after the two weeks of October holidays he'll be well mended and back to being a running about boy. But we've some challenges to overcome before then, of which more (maybe) as we overcome them.

He was visiting our bedroom this evening for our bedroom story. We started reading the classic "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer" a while back. When I mentioned this to his teacher the other day she said "isn't it a very racist book?" My children will grow up in spite of my dreadful parenting.
