Christmas Lights

Miss E didn't wake up until 10am this morning which is the longest she's ever slept in.
It made it a bit of a rush as we had to leave for trampolining in Milton Keynes by 10.20!
We made it, whoop whoop!!
We met up with five of Miss E's friends - from her current school and her old one - at Bounce and they had a fun hour bouncing away while us Mummies had a fun hour chatting and drinking tea.
I also had fun arguing with Miss E about the fact that lots of the others had Slush Puppies and she had water.
Is "But Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy?" ever not irritating?!!!!
Just before we left to head over the road to Prezzo Miss E took a definite downward turn. She looked as though she was sucking on a lemon and I assumed she still had the hump about the Slushy. Then she went as white as a sheet and looked like death on a stick!!!
Suddenly the penny dropped as to why she'd slept until 10am!
It went from bad to worse when we were in Prezzo. She was clearly quite unwell.
She said she didn't want any food but didn't want to go home. She was getting in a bit of a tizz with all the attention and fuss so I thought it best to leave her alone. I hoped she'd perk up!
The eight children were all sat at one table on their own and the grown ups were all at another. Eventually Miss E came over to my seat and lay down on my knee saying she wanted to go home. She was burning up. Sigh.
Having just ordered food for me and Miss L I told her we'd go soon and pulled a couple more chairs up so she could lie down.
She fell fast asleep!!
Half an hour later she woke up, announced she felt much better and asked could she have pizza!!
She still looked pale but much better than she had. It was nice to see her enjoying herself with her friends!! They all behaved brilliantly at their table by themselves!
When we got home it was a lazy afternoon snuggled up under a blanket on the sofa watching Harry Potter.
She's not the most stoic of children when it comes to being ill. She gets that from her father!! Hopefully a few day's rest and she'll be fighting fit for Christmas.
