Heart stopping moments...

That's watching the workmen wander along the scaffold outside our office window, carrying long planks of wood and periodically shrieking and whooping! They seem to enjoy their work. Heart stopping because we are on the 5th floor!

Feeling on top of work and very ready for a week off. Just one day to go. Did some more last minute shopping in Norwich at lunchtime and left work at 4.30. At home Jon was putting Mollie's new dressing table together. It is a birthday/Christmas present, but only arrived at the Norwich Ikea warehouse today. So a week and a bit later than her birthday. As they had been shopping today too, work on it started when they got home at 4. It is ongoing. Mollie cooked dinner and at around 7 Jon broke off the job as we had the 'big shop' at Morrison's booked in for tonight. Cue the second Heart stopping moment of the day. The bill. But it is only Christmas once a year! I don't know how people afford to buy alcohol all year round!! Then there was the extra large 8.7kg turkey. I've had to play Tetris with the freezer contents, and ended up putting some in mum's freezer next door to get the turkey in to mine. Please can someone tell me when I will need to take the turkey out to ensure it is defrosted by Monday early morning???? I'm thinking Saturday? There isn't room in the fridge so it may have to sit in a bucket in the garage.

A cup of tea and a bit of sorting out at home before bed.
