Sparkly nails, Mulled wine and Haworth ...

It must be Christmas!

A very nice deer walk this morning but no deer! It looked like it might brighten up but heading to Haworth this afternoon it was damp and drizzly again. I went to the beautician's and got my annual Christmas nails done with the added bonus of a glass of sherry and a free gin liqueur tasting. (The artist who owns the premises has branched out into gin making - he's making a Yorkshire gin and two liqueurs, Elderflower and Winter Fruits.) Both were delicious so I bought two small bottles.

Chris had taken me so when I finished we walked up the Main Street and popped into a new place The Hawthorne. It used to be a tea rooms called The Stirrup but it's now more of a bar and restaurant. Had a lovely mulled wine and the very friendly waitress told us all about the history of the building which they have tried to restore and their menus. (Apparently the Brontes coffins were made upstairs!)

When we came out it was getting darker and the lovely decorations were brightening up the street as you can see here about half way up with a picture of one of our favourite restaurants. Another bright moment was at the top of the street where we bumped into Bezzie Pet and MidgeholeDave just coming out of The Black Bull. Lovely to see them for a brief chat before we both heading back home.

A great start to the Festive weekend though I had to call at the PO for more money!

Have a great weekend everyone.
