A view from Jeanneb

By Jeanneb53

A Winter's morn.

We had hoped to see the sunrise from Altar rocks this morning but we were a bit early but by the time we reached Coppice Pond there was a lovely glow of light on the water.

There was a very cold wind and frost in patches. You might be able to see it on the feeding station deck. It was pretty slippery.

The two swans were at the head of the pond when we arrived and followed us down to the feeding station.

The first morning after the winter solstice it certainly felt like winter and that wind is set to get stronger and stronger we hear. Still the days will now get longer and that's definitely going in the right direction.
