Boxing Day madness in Cromer

Mollie managed to get this photo this morning as the traditional Boxing Day dip took place. Parking was mad so I missed it looking for a space. We will get up earlier next year! Caught up briefly with Mollie’s friend Jordan who had been in with his dad. It crossed my mind to do it next year....let’s see.

We had a cup of tea on the pier which was very busy, then headed home. After coffee we got into the car with the metal detector and trowels, wellies and the dog, and drove down to West Runton. The sea was in, it was lovely and clear, and we walked slowly along the top of the beach. The beeping was intermittent and various people tried digging. It was fun but we need to do more reading about the signals. We think we found two bits of old silver foil. The dog enjoyed a run with the other canines. It is popular for dog walkers. No treasure found but we will be back.

Lunch was cold leftovers, pickles, cheese and all the nice easy bits about Christmas food! Then we watched the 3rd Harry Potter film while playing the Logo board game.

Carcass is boiling so I need to do something with that now. More games and films later I expect.

Extra photo was the sea crashing on the groynes at West Runton and looking east towards Cromer Pier.
