Generosity

People are amazingly generous. This is only some of the donations we have been given for our guests. As much as possible will be given to people by Thursday. After that it wil go to our partner organisations.

Elsewhere, I woke to a dusting of snow and thick ice on the car. That's more than a 10 deg difference in temperature from yesterday. I cleaned the sofa and chairs. This may be a sub for buying new ones. After scraping the car I went to work via the Manor to give them some of yesterday's croque en bouche. Then to work. It was a short day with one bit of high excitement but that was dealt with.

Home to eat yesterday's leftovers, a real Boxing Day tradition, watch TV - French and Saunders and a bit of the Big Fat Quiz of the year and have a drink after yesterday's absention.

Crisis at Christmas has gone really well. Always a few glitches and things that can be done differently but we've had about 350 guests over 2 days and served a lot of food. Day 3 tomorrow.
