Christmas Eve

Last year on Christmas Eve we started a new tradition of reading The Gift of Christmas before settling down to wait for Father Christmas. We each read a page in turn.
This is a terrible photo - because it was dark and because the lens on my phone is shattered but I love it. It's such a sweet story and hearing them read it is magical.
We've had a lovely Christmas Eve with Nanny and Grandad in Stourbridge. We had to be winched back to the car when we left as Grandad does like to fill us up with delicious food. What he can't do with a chicken wing!!!!
As usual we stopped at Welcome Break on the way home. Miss L chose a present for Miss E in WH Smith. Nothing like leaving it to the last minute!
As we walked from the car Mr K and I switched on our Christmas jumpers which flash and looked spectacular in the dark! There was a group of people stood by the entrance watching us with admiration and commented on our fabulous jumpers. Miss E was mortified and proud at the same time, it was hilarious!!
It was late when we got home. Just time to sort the beds for their sleepover, hang the pillowcases for Father Christmas, and read our book.
Mr K and I drank mulled wine, ate mince pies and watched Serendipity while the Little Misses squealed and giggled upstairs.
They fell asleep eventually!!!
