Mango

22nd December 2017:

In our twelve years farming in Lusangazi, we have expanded our horizons considerably.

Besides organic/sustainable/ agro-forestry, we have a big focus on producing improved varieties of fruit trees.

We now have nine varieties of Mango, which extend the season in which mango is available to eat, The local mango has a short lifespan so there's a feast and a famine.

Our guys call this one Suri, but from what I can find it may be a Sindhiri or Chaunsa from Pakistan or India:

"It is a rich source of vitamins, potassium, phenol and iron, and looks so tempting and tastes so yummy. It`s used for many purposes and eaten in a variety of ways mangos really deserve to be called the `king of fruits`
