Happy New Year 2018

Had a lovely start to the new year when friends rang to say they were staying in the area, and asking if we'd like to meet for coffee. Where better than the Royal Castle Hotel in Dartmouth? So, that's where we went and had a lovely catch-up.

The hotel was decorated with wide red bands showing Christmas and New Year greetings. Had a little play on Photoshop, turning my pic into a jigsaw. Funnily enough, I had two real jigsaws for Christmas, and one is a painting that includes this very scene. But I shall save that for later. Meanwhile, I've started my other new jigsaw. Fun fun fun!

Went for a short walk this afternoon, but the wind was bitterly, bitingly cold. Gulls were enjoying riding on the updraughts and we spotted a short length of pale rainbow. At least, it blew away our Christmas cobwebs. As the days are mostly grey, we're keeping up our sparkly lights till twelfth night to enjoy their cheer a little longer.

Wishing all blippers a very happy and healthy photographic new year!
