Caps signed a new goalie a couple of weeks ago, and he arrived this week to play his first games at the weekend.

The name seemed familiar - Beskorowany is unusual - and I read he’d played in the German league for a couple of seasons. So, being thoroughly bored with being back home, I had a wee search in the  pile of junk which will go on eBay one day.

Yup, there’s the proof - I saw him play at Ingolstadt for both Nürnberg and Düsseldorf. He’s dropping down a level (or two) by coming here. Time will tell.

The rest of the day involved the usual routine chores which normally take up my Saturdays in winter. I got a lot done.
