Wanderings & Witterings

We have to hand over the keys of my late step-mother's house on Wednesday next week. Although we've cleared out a lot of stuff - some to charity shops, some to family and friends, but most to black bin-bags - there is still a lot of clearing out to do. Margaret, it seems, didn't seem to be in the habit of doing so herself and we have made a lot of 'interesting' finds over the past few weeks. (Some may find their way onto Blipfoto in the near future!)

Today the display cabinet was one of the focal points of our attention. I have no idea whether its contents have any monetary value (I doubt it - and you can draw your own conclusions from the photograph) but they were removed from their somewhat dusty surroundings where they seem to have been for a while, wrapped in tissue paper, placed in a box and transported to their new (temporary) home in Bonnybridge for future forward transit.

I wouldn't give them house-room myself, but obviously someone liked them. Another task completed. Currently planning a wee large celebration when I hand over the keys to the local authority housing association next week. Look out for a cart-wheeling Bairn on Wallacewell Road next Wednesday.
