Loch Laggan

I have maintained for a long time that one of the great drives is westward along the Laggan road (A86) from Dalwhinnie to Spean Bridge. Today was the third time I have been fortunate to do it this year, and the second time I have been heading for Skye.

This view always transfixes me - I could (and have) stand here for ages just soaking it in. To my surprise, there was a couple swimming in the loch, but they revealed themselves to be wearing wet suits. What a good idea.

This view has many competitors on the road to Skye, the vista down Glen Garry being one of them, but the light was fading when I got there.
