What weather! What views! What an outing!

We bought a new book yesterday to find the lower Grahams so that we weren't pushing Little Dog too hard with her little legs in the snow.

We struck lucky with the weather; glad that we didn't choose this top yesterday as the conditions today could not have been better.

With barely a breeze, we headed on up and up with Rich taking smaller steps than usual and dragging his feet so that CJ didn't struggle through the deep snow.

It felt like we had the whole of Wester Ross to ourselves. We met no-one and despite choosing the lower mountains, we had to put in some effort to make our way up the pathless mountainside. The views were outstanding with the higher hills also lit up in the sunshine.

Little Dog was enthusiastic and moreso when she discovered we were following quite a few deer up the slopes. She was on a mission! We saw plenty of them but they always kept those few steps ahead.

We made sure to stop and take in the surroundings at many opportunities. It was almost a little disappointing reaching the top, knowing we were on our way down.

With a much quicker descent, we were back at the car and home for our private coffee shop and bird hide overlooking the loch with plenty of daylight to spare.

Food, fire and feeling completely chilled out. A few DVDs and it's bedtime.

And a whole week still to enjoy.
Bliss!
