A walk in the sunshine

First sunshine and frost for a while so I decided on a walk to the top of the hill to check out this felled tree.  Last year I photographed Velvet Shanks on this tree trunk at this time in January and when I saw these - a bit further along the trunk, I thought they were immature versions of the same fungi.  It wasn't till I looked at the photos that I realised this was a different species.
