Frozen waterfall

Thursday
Today, Jen, Roger and I decided to brave the cold (a high of about 18F  today) and drove up to Clifton gorge to do some hiking along the Little Miami River. We left Jason at home in the warm enjoying the “Great Indoors”, reading books! We hadn’t gone far along the trail when we came across this great sight of a frozen waterfall. The skies were overcast when we set out, but as we walked the skies gradually cleared, and by the time we reached Clifton Mill it was largely sunny. It was a beautiful walk with a light coating of snow, and inicles and cascades of ice along the river. Initially, we thought we would just get a hot chocolate at the Mill to warm us up for the return, but we ended up getting a bite to eat as well.
Laura returned home in time for dinner, though not very hungry as she’d had a latish lunch with her friend!
