The magical Fairy Glen

It did feel very magical today as we walked through frost covered leaves along side the sparkling water with the remainder of icicles still clinging to the fallen branches that lay across the fast flowing burn. A few birds sang from the tops of the Scots pine and silver birches. The muddy footprints and paw prints of previous explorers were frozen solid making it easy to walk.
The sun was hitting one of the little waterfalls as the noise of the larger one filled our ears.
Hair ice or frost flowers seem to be creeping along every piece of rotten wood creating icy patterns as it poured out.
More coins had been added to one of the tree trunks.
A friendly robin seemed to follow us around the pond.
Back home and a warming hot chocolate in the sun, bulbs planted and a real chill in the air as the sun went down.Down to minus figures again.
