The second half of life..

More rain today.......

OK - I think we've had enough now - can we declare that the drought is well and truly over yet?  I'm sure the reservoir will be topped up sufficiently for us to be able to resume summer now......please?

Another home-bound day with garden excursions between showers.  Pottered on a few things indoors including trying to [finally] get a high-speed set up actually set up!  Progress was made but still not happy with its reliability.  Getting there though, and certainly a lot closer than it was.

One excursion found me this wee thing.  I wasn't too sure whether it was a butterfly or a moth, hence it's name.  A little research tells me that it appears to be a long-tailed blue butterfly (Lampides boeticus) (though it doesn't look very blue on its underside!)  Will have to see if I can track one down with it's wings open sometime.  Cute wee thing though.

Had a lovely chat with J who, ironically, is way down south at Riverton on holiday and enjoying fantastic summer conditions!  Will definitely have to aim for a longer catch up next holidays when I'll definitely be heading away in van.

Watched the cricket ODI v Pakistan too - wow!  After posting 257 the Kiwis then set about systematically demolishing any hope the Pakistan team may have had of even getting close, at one point having them reeling at 16 for 6.  They finished with 74 - a massive 183 run deficit.  It feels like a long time since the Black Caps have been this dominant...........though let's not get ahead of ourselves!

Fingers crossed for some sunshine tomorrow :)
