Lake Tekapo

I love this country. Sometimes, when I am wondering why I have chosen to live on the other side of the world from my parents and siblings, I go somewhere like Tekapo and it reminds me.

Today we drove up from Te Anau, about 6 hours of driving through some of the most stunning scenery New Zealand has to offer. I've been driving my folks around as a kind of unofficial tour guide. Today was our biggest day. Ma and Dad were up at 7 am. Two hours on a boat, three hours on a coach and then six hours in a car. Poor things. Still, we arrived safe and sound.

Dad and I took a stroll around the lake to try and capture the sunset. This is the best of my lot. Dad got lots of really good ones.

I need to sleep well tonight. :)
