THE GRACE IN LINES

This 84 year grand old lady is a 1948 Palestinian refugee and lives in el-Buss refugee camp, 1,5 km south of Tyre on the seaside.

Palestinians from the Acre area in the Galilee came to el-Buss in the 1950s. Now there are more than 9,500 registered refugees. 297 families of 1265 are extremely poor.
This camp as all other palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon suffers from serious problems, such as: poverty, overcrowding, unemployment, poor housing conditions and no proper infrastructure.

Fagforbundet (norwegian trade union) support youth and women projected run by the local organizations and to meet them was a great uplifting experience.
