Life through the lens...

No Deer

Met with our walking group for a walk round Bingley St Ives.
Not a bad sort of day, but no sun except for a brief glimps at the end of the walk.
My collage shows the old packhorse bridge where we crossed the river at Beckfoot.
Then along the riverside, and the " Deer Walk" passing the hamlet of Ravenroyd. Unfortunately no deer today, but spotted my first daffodil flowering all on its own in the woods.
Then a steep climb up the hillside, which was quite muddy, and you had to watch your step. Hence the photo of some of our group looking down at their feet.
Lunch in our usual spot among the rocks, high up overlooking the valley , at Druids Altar.
An easy walk afterwards. Past Lady Blantyre's Rock, and down to Coppice Pond, where I took the photo of the seagulls. By this time it had become quite busy.
Then back to the car.
I noticed where all the trees have been cut down.  Something I have been following on Blip. Hope the new ones will be planted soon.
A pleasant day, even if the weather was still grey.
