Today, for the first time in a very long while, I opened my windows and left them open all day. It was a gorgeous day - high of 56, bright sunshine and a feeling of expansiveness and cheer. I took myself to the upper level of Carkeek Park, which is right on Puget Sound, and was lucky enough to get a parking space right at the very top. Those are the Olympic Mountains you see, so beautiful when they're visible. The Extras are a few other sights from the park. There is a railway line that runs between the park and the sand at water's edge, and a bridge was built to enable folks to cross over the tracks and then take stairs a long way down to the beach.
