Meadow Pipit

A walk in the country around Bearsted in lovely sunshine, the concrete clouds of the last few days having temporarily dispersed. We came across this little bird perching on fence posts towards the end and after some investigations decided it was a Meadow Pipit.  Although a common bird throughout the UK this is the first time we've seen and identified one.

An afternoon of research and decisions; finding an Airbnb near San Marcos took some time but one was found in the end. We began to sort out how to tackle the household renovations we want to do this year and look for possible tradespeople to do the work. By which time it was dark and time to fetch Doreen and cook a Hairy Dieters Chicken Jalfrazi.

Today's image is a cropped shot of the Pipit at maximum zoom, so is a little fragmented but I like it perched on the post.
