Snowburbia

Up and out sharp this morning through the snow to the station. The High St and St Giles were under a swirl of white - see extra.

Then across to Glasgow where central Scotland was well coated. In Glasgow nothing but as we headed to East Renfrewshire the snow was much more visible again.

We were through for a meeting of the Secure Care Strategic Board and many had travelled far to get there.

I’ve been doing some work with others, including Alison Gough, on the vision for the future. Today was the opportunity to sense check our early thinking. More to do at the start of February: everyone agrees that we need to resolve this as lots of other activity will hang of this. And we need to work with and empower care experienced young people to test, probe and challenge us on what is emerging.

This view I liked. It is from the conference room in the East Renfrewshire Heakth and Care Centre. At times the houses were almost hidden from view by thick snow. At other time the sun shone brightly. The lines of the buildings seem more defined with the snow.

Now off work for a few days to clear some rooms in the house.
