Joy in looking and comprehending is nature's most beautiful gift.
Albert Einstein

I spent about 30 minutes walking around the soggy neighborhood this morning photographing stonewalls and leaves, looking for a seasonal shot. I caught my favorite old maple conducting quietly(far quieter than Kendall's man described in her entry ) and bits of brilliant foliage in the morning gloom. I ventured into our woods seeking some glistening bottles at the old bottle dump, heard a rustle, and nervously turned around. There he was, following me, staring at me, Nelson, peanut besotted Nelson, looking for a hand out. He got one of course.
