Life's Little Moments

What is all that white stuff???

While I was basking in the warmth of southern Arizona, my little patch of NJ got about 6 inches of snow.  Happily, it's melting.  Unhappily, there is still quite a lot of it on the ground.  Happily (yes, a theme), snow often brings American Tree Sparrows to our yard.  These are very small sparrows that winter in our area but breed much further north, so the only time I see them is in winter.  This is Yard Bird #10 to be blipped this year.  I did some selective dodging on the snow to get rid of scraps of seeds, creating some good isolation around the little bird.  His feet were buried in the snow, and if you look closely, you'll see a sunflower seed in his little beak.

In addition to this cute little sparrow, I've posted everyone's favorite red bird HERE on Flickr

Most of my day has been spent sorting photos.  I've got one day's worth of pictures to sort and edit and then I'll be done.  I always make sure everything I import from LR is tagged multiple ways; although it's time-consuming, it is essential when I need to find a particular shot later.

Time for some tea now...
