Tandoori Chicken

We started the day with a Morrisons breakfast. It is such good value, and a treat after pay day. From there we went to Homebase to buy a toilet and sink but unfortunately the sink we wanted was out of stock. The are getting some in during the week, so we will go back. We got a mixer tap for it though. The cheapest one was £29.99 and the next one of a different style £49.99. That was more than the toilet cost! We liked the cheaper tap anyway, so we are on our way to having a cloakroom. Jon has made enquiries with a friend from scouts about cutting a doorway through to the garage, then partitioning the garage, and they think they can do the work themselves, so he just needs to take his plan to the council to check it out for 'building regs'. He has also added a porch to the plan, that way we only pay once with the plan....apparently. A porch would be really useful as we currently walk straight in to the lounge, plus there is nowhere to put shoes and coats. So lots to do looking forwards this year. Holiday will definitely be in the UK again, and making more use of the caravan.

I went to Roughton to buy chicken food - layers pellets and corn. Everything gets treats after payday!!!

This afternoon we watched Matilda and did a jigsaw. My back has been aching for some unknown reason, since Christmas so it was nice to just sit and relax with a hot water bottle behind my back.

I actually planned a meal for tonight, in advance. Using more chicken thighs we made tandoori chicken. I used a tip from blip friend Gracie and bought boned chicken thighs in Aldi yesterday. Much less messing about. The result was tasty.

Have just watched a really nice film with Robert Redford and Jane Fonda. But I don't remember the name of it - something about souls. More my kind of film than the others, but I expect they will watch something action packed now.

A lie in, ironing and The Archers planned for tomorrow. No surprises there!
