The life & times of Jacks

Both Steve and I had a wee bit of a fuzzy head when we got up this morning but we didn't have time to laze about.  We got up, ready and then hopped in the car to drive to the South coast to see Steve's mum.

Man, the weather was awful - all - day - long!

The drive was shitty but I think due to the weather being so awful most people did the sensible thing and stayed in so the traffic was flowing so we made it there in good time.

Just by Winchester, we stopped at some services to pick up flowers from M&S for Steve's mum.  We had a quick coffee at Costa and then got back on the road.  About 5 mins later Steve realised that we left the flowers on the table at Costa.  Luckily there were some other options later on down the road where we picked up a second bunch of flowers - see the extra.

Pictured is my Mother in Law's dog, Maiya.  She is a greyhound rescue and such a wonderful nature.

We went out for a nice lunch before heading back to the house for a nice cuppa tea and biscuits.

The drive home was really hard going - since Steve drove us there, I drove back - the rain still came down so hard and with the early dark nights and ridiculous rain I was knackered by the time we got home.

Since getting home we've been winding down a little.  I'm watching season 2 of Greys Anatomy - still brilliant!
